Private Group Dance Lessons – Terms & ConditionS

We want your experience with Double or Nothing Two-Step to be fun, stress-free, and full of good vibes - so here’s everything you need to know to keep things running smoothly:

💸 Deposits & Payments

• A 50% deposit is required to reserve your lesson. Our calendar fills up quickly, and we can’t hold your spot without it.

• The remaining balance is due 14 days before your lesson date.

• If you’re booking within 14 days, full payment is required upfront.

• Online payments include a 3.5% processing fee.

• Late payments past the due date incur a 20% late fee (before processing fees).

• ACH transfers have no fee.

❌ Cancellations & Refunds

Plans change, and we totally understand! Here’s how it works:

1. 14+ days before your lesson/event: You’ll receive a full refund (minus processing fees).

2. Inside 14 days: Payments are non-refundable since we’ve already reserved instructor time, shifted our schedule, and may have turned down other work.

3. If a venue has been reserved on your behalf (e.g., Sagebrush): Venue rental is also non-refundable once booked, and may carry its own cancellation policy in addition to ours.

4. If Double or Nothing Two-Step must cancel: You’ll receive a full refund or the option to reschedule.

🌩️ Weather & Force Majeure

Severe Weather & Unsafe Conditions:

• If severe weather, natural disasters, or other circumstances beyond our control make it unsafe to conduct your lesson, we will work with you to reschedule at no penalty or provide a full refund.

• Double or Nothing Two-Step reserves the right to cancel lessons for safety reasons due to winter storms, flooding, extreme heat advisories, or other dangerous conditions.

Client-Initiated Weather Cancellations:

• Client-initiated cancellations due to weather concerns are subject to our standard cancellation policy (non-refundable inside 14 days).

• However, we understand weather concerns for out-of-town visitors and will work with you on rescheduling options or partial credits when possible.

Venue Closures:

• If a venue (Sagebrush, Balance, etc.) closes due to weather or emergency, we will reschedule or provide a full refund.

• Venue rental fees already paid may be non-refundable per venue policies.

State of Emergency:

• In the event of a declared state of emergency by local or state authorities, we will proactively reach out to reschedule or refund affected bookings.🧾 Insurance / COI Requirements

Some venues require a Certificate of Insurance (COI) naming the venue as additionally insured. When this is needed, the client is responsible for the cost of the policy.

We handle the purchase of COI policies through our trusted provider, EventHelper.com. Rates typically range from $100–$175, depending on the type, size, and location of your event.

Because COI requirements are sometimes requested by venues at the last minute, it is the client’s responsibility to confirm with their venue in advance whether a COI will be needed. If required, Double or Nothing Two-Step will purchase the policy on your behalf and add the cost to your invoice.

⏰ Running Late?

We kindly ask that you arrive on time to get the most out of your lesson!

• If you’re late, we’ll do our best to maximize your remaining time, but we can’t guarantee an overrun.

• Should we be able to extend, additional fees apply.

• Austin traffic is notorious - please plan ahead!

• If your group misses the scheduled time entirely, no refund or discount will be given.

📸 Photos & Marketing

We love capturing the joy of dancing! By booking, you agree that we may take photos or short video clips during your event, usually just a quick group photo at the end of the lesson, and share them for promotional purposes. If you’d prefer not to be photographed, no problem — just let us know, and we’ll make a note on your invoice that no photos or video will be taken.

🕺 Safety & Liability

• Dancing is physical - by participating, you and your guests agree to dance at your own risk.

• Double or Nothing Two-Step is not liable for accidents or injuries.

• Please dance responsibly and respect others on the floor.
