There are a handful of teachers in Austin that give 2 stepping lessons and they all attract different types of people and have their own style. I would say Vanessa attracts many locals and friends of locals. You don’t find the bridal parties so much, but you will find those that truly want to learn some good moves and different moves that she rotates through in her intermediate and advanced classes.
Vanessa teaches from her heart and loves dancing which shows in her teaching style. She carries an excitement with her and very adorable with her deliveries. If you want to learn in a fun, non threatening atmosphere keep going back and you will become a great dancer.
We’ve tried many of the other places and teachers and they serve their purpose from the raunchy Broken Spoke lessons, to the White Horse for bachelorette parties and the same ol schtick every time.
Honestly, Vanessa doesn’t hassle about tipping like all the others, but if you can give her a tip of appreciation do so because it’s a labor of love and we want her to continue gifting this to dance tradition to Austin! Thank you Vanessa!
